Privacy Policy

SoftQuit helps you build private Control habits. This policy explains what we store and how we use it.

What we store

You sign in with Google or email to use SoftQuit. We store your profile, Control plan and logs, reminder settings, privacy settings, optional Porn Shield blocklist preferences and block counts (hostnames only), Social Pause app choices and session times, and onboarding choices. Supported data syncs to your account so it can follow you across devices.

Porn Shield

Shield is opt-in. When enabled, we keep a local list of domains and may use an on-device DNS filter (Android) to block matching sites. Block logs store hostnames and timestamps for your progress, not a full browsing history. You can turn Shield off anytime in settings.

Social Pause

Social Pause is opt-in. When you start a pause we store the apps you chose to lock and when the session ends. We do not read your feed or messages. You can end a pause from the app (strict mode may wait out a cool-down).

Notifications

Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We do not sell notification content or use it for advertising.

Health context

SoftQuit is a habit tool, not medical advice. Talk to a clinician if you have concerns about compulsive sexual behavior or mental health.
